Carsten Boers

Carsten is the founder and Managing Partner of Rhapsody Venture Partners, a specialized fund for hard science startups. Rhapsody leads investments in a concentrated portfolio and works alongside founders to bring innovations to market.With a degree from London School of Economics, Carsten worked in strategy consulting before starting his first company at 24 years of age in mobile digital marketing – the company went global and was acquired by Mitsui in 2007. Carsten started investing and acted as a transaction advisor and consultant to a German mid-cap PE shop, before finding himself immersed in the world of deep tech in the Cambridge, MA ecosystem. Following investments in five deep-tech startups, including Manus Bio, Apeel Sciences and LiquiGlide, Carsten founded Rhapsody Venture Partners, bringing on board his partners Jason and Bernie.
