Using train-mounted cameras, RailView detects obstructions such as animals, people, rocks, trees, and vehicles on the tracks. Object location, size and relative movement are reported, along with continuous realtime 3D point clouds.

As expected from a stereo-system, the object is more spread along the principal axis of the camera due to reduced range resolution at this distance.
